The first one was invented in China during the Tang Dynasty, which dates to about 619-907 C.E! The brush was eventually introduced to Europe about 800 years later in the 17th<\/sup> century!<\/p>\n

Around 3000 B.C., ancient Egyptians made their toothbrushes from things like twigs and leaves. It\u2019s believed that the ancient Greeks, Romans, and Indians used similar tools as well. They even frayed one end of the twig to create a primitive form of floss!<\/p>\n

The average modern toothbrush has about 2,500 individual bristles.<\/p>\n
